DM-100-GeH4

The Detcon DM-100-GeH4 is a gas detection sensor designed to detect and monitor Germane (or germanium tetrahydride) in air in the 0 to 2 ppm range using electrochemical sensor technology.

The detection method is by diffusion adsorption. The molecules of air and gas diffuse through a porous membrane in contact with an electrolyte solution that creates a variation of the electrical conductance between a reference electrode and a measurement electrode.

This conductance change is conditioned by internal electronic circuits to provide a linear signal of 4 to 20 milliamperes proportional to the gas concentration.

The sensors in the DM-100 series feature intelligent electronics, a non-intrusive operator interface and a comprehensive fault diagnosis.

The sensor is packaged in a 316 electropolished stainless steel housing equipped with a NP "NPT thread.

The field-replaceable, plug-in sensor cell features large-area gold-plated pins that reduce the effects of corrosion in harsh industrial environments.

The signal conditioning electronics are fully encapsulated in the sensor housing, which adds a high level of durability to the design. The packaging is intrinsically safe.

This innovative design marks the return to a simple, more affordable and durable gas detection sensor without compromising quality.

The DM-100's sensors provide a 4-20 mA current signal powered by a 2-wire loop, equivalent to the sensor's sensing range.

The upper housing options are aluminum and stainless steel (includes a transient protection terminal block).

Additional accessories include wireless communications, a loop-powered digital display, a remote alarm module (RAM), a HART, and an RS-485 power converter.

The standard serial converter is Modbus RTU. Each sensor comes with a splashguard with an integrated calibration port.

Detcon's toxic gas detectors have a long service life and are backed by a first-class warranty.
